Brahian Mendez
Brahian Mendez (SF) put on an amazing game in the last round for Del Patio, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The player was the main contributor (35 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Sameji (#3, 1-6) 125-122. Del Patio maintains the 4th position in their group in Dominican Rep. LDC. Del Patio is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. In the team's last game Mendez had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Del Patio, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Brahian Mendez has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg. Mendez is in league's top in and averages impressive 50.5% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Adris Rodriguez (203-C-1988) of Capitanes. Rodriguez had a very good evening with a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Capitanes to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Santiago Basket (#2, 3-4) 119-99. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Capitanes consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 4-3 record is not bad at all. Rodriguez is one of the most experienced players at Capitanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American guard DeJon Waters Jr. (190-G-1997) of Evolve OL (#4). Waters Jr. got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Waters Jr.'s great performance Evolve OL lost 87-106 to #1 ranked Fenix. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Evolve OL can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Waters Jr. has individually a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.1ppg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
